Dear Ms. Muenchow,
Thank you for your letter of support of the Local Foods Promotion Program (LFPP) and Farmers
Market Promotion Program (FMPP). Data users, like LFPP and FMPP, can analyze and rely on
the data from the Local Food Marketing Practices Survey to understand local food marketing
practices, make programmatic decisions, and support farms and related food production,
aggregation, and distribution businesses.
Accurate, timely data are also very important to this industry and many government agencies.
NASS is only planning minor adjustments to the questionnaire and sample sizes at this time to
reflect minor shifts in the target population.
We will keep you informed of any modifications through Federal Register Notices.
