This notice updates and amplifies the
procedures for the allocation of § 48A Phase III credits by
announcing the beginning of Round 3 of the § 48A Phase III Program.
To be considered in Round 3 of the § 48A Phase III Program,
applications must be submitted to the Department of Energy (DOE)
(Application for DOE Certification) and to the IRS (Application for
§ 48A Certification).

Changes were made to the burden
previously approved to update the estimated number of responses
based on the most recent filing data. The annual number of
responses requested is 5 (a decrease of 40 from the previously
approved 45). No changes have been made to the form. The change in
estimated responses results in an overall hourly burden decrease of
4,400) current burden estimate is 550 and previously approved was
4,950).
