JUSTIFICATION FOR NON-SUBSTANTIVE CHANGE
“Financial Responsibility for Motor Carriers of Passengers and Motor Carriers of Property” ICR

This non-substantive change request updates the expirations dates on collection instruments of ICR Control No. 2126-0008, “Financial Responsibility for Motor Carriers of Passengers and Motor Carriers of Property.” The expiration dates have been updated to June 30, 2027, for the following forms: 1) Motor Carrier Public Liability Surety Bond under Sections 29 and 30 of the Motor Carrier Act of 1980 (MCS-82); Motor Carrier Public Liability Surety Bond under Section 18 of the Bus Regulatory Reform Act of 1982 (MCS-82B); Endorsement for Motor Carrier Policies of Insurance for Public Liability under Sections 29 and 30 of the Motor Carrier Act of 1980 (MCS-90); and Endorsement for Motor Carrier Policies of Insurance for Public Liability under Section 18 of the Bus Regulatory Reform Act of 1982 (MCS-90B).
The current public reporting burden estimates in the burden statements for all 4 forms (MCS-82, MCS-82B, MCS-90, MCS-90B) were verified and remain unchanged.
